Lab Functions
Northeast Metrology Corp. is a facility dedicated to providing calibration and testing services. We believe that the customer deserves the service performed accurately and in a timely fashion. All calibrations and tests are performed in accordance with one or more of the following specifications: ISO/IEC 17025:2005, ANSI-NCSL/Z540-1-1994, Former MIL-STD 45662A, ISO-9001:2000, ISO 10012-1:1992(E). Other standards we implement include ANSI/ASME, ASTM, NIST and Federal Government Specification GGG-G-15C for gage blocks. Laboratory environmental conditions are maintained at 68 degrees F +/- 2.0
°F with a relative humidity less than 45%. The dimensional department acclimates the precision equipment and tools to the laboratory conditions before testing to maintain a high level of accuracy and repeatability.The heart of the dimensional calibration department is a set of Master Gage Blocks traceable to NIST. Gage Block Comparators accurate to 10 -6, Super Micrometers accurate to 10 -6, Ring Gage Comparators accurate to 10 -6, Optical Comparators accurate to 10 -4 and Laser Interferometers accurate to 10 -7. The above mentioned equipment enables us to accomplish a wide range of calibration and certifications needed by industry in a day to day manufacturing environment.
We also calibrate and resurface Granite Plates. This is a service not many facilities are capable of performing and our company excels in this field. We perform Hardness Testing and Calibration for a variety of Hardness Testers. Weights and Scales can be verified with an accuracy of 10 -6.
Keeping with our theme of full service calibration we provide electrical calibration services of Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Wattmeters, Hypot Testers, Thermometers, Pyrometers, Temperature Controllers, Sound Meters, PH Meters and Conductivity Meters, just to mention a few. Northeast Metrology Corp. maintains a Primary Standards lab, which includes a Guildline 9152/10 Standard Cell, 9715 Volt Ratio Box, 9923 Range Extender and a 9975 Current Comparator Resistance Bridge. For high tolerance AC/DC electrical calibrations we maintain a Fluke 5440A, Fluke 5200A, Fluke 5220A. Our Wavetek 9100 Multifunction Calibrator is a state of the art electronic calibration system. As always, all standards are traceable to NIST.
